As part of its commitment to keeping pace with modern technological developments and enhancing the capabilities of its educational staff, Hadhramout International Schools held two specialized training courses on the use of artificial intelligence in education, in partnership with the Hadhramout Research Center at Al-Ahgaff University. The courses were delivered by Consultant Dr. Hashem Alawi Muqbil for the school’s male and female teachers.
The **first course** focused on training participants in the use of **NotebookLM**, providing a detailed explanation of how to use the platform and benefit from it in organizing educational content, working with academic sources and materials, and producing summaries and various educational outputs. The course also included practical hands-on activities that enabled participants to explore the platform’s tools and use them effectively.
The **second course** focused on **ChatGPT** and ways of utilizing it to enhance the educational process, with particular emphasis on effective prompt-writing skills and their use in explaining and simplifying lessons, preparing summaries, generating questions and assessments, and designing images, mind maps, and educational materials. The course also provided a detailed overview of the platform’s functions, including the difference between **Chats and Projects**, as well as how to create, organize, and use educational projects in teachers’ daily work.
The two courses reaffirm Hadhramout International Schools’ commitment to integrating modern technologies into education and its continued efforts to develop the skills of its educational staff, thereby enhancing the quality of teaching and improving educational outcomes, within the schools’ distinguished learning environment and supported by an outstanding teaching team.
